What follows is the official roster of the Social Text collective as it has appeared in the journal's masthead over the three decades of the journal's life. Especially in the first decade, the masthead did not always capture the flux of the collective members: some people are listed who had no more than a fleeting connection with the journal, while others who participated in collective meetings were never formally acknowledged. Starting with Social Text 2, people are listed here in the approximate order in which they joined the group. The roster does not indicate when members left the collective: in general, there is significant overlap between the periods of the journal's history, with many members staying on the collective well into each subsequent decade.
